Entomologist, naturalist, botanophile for over 25 years. Specialized in Coleoptera Curculionoidea. Numerous collaborations with the Tuscan Archipelago National Park, University of Florence – Faculty of Biology and Museo della Specola. WBA Onlus Coordinator – Tuscan Archipelago Section. Curator/Head of NatLab – The Naturalistic Museum of the Tuscan Archipelago.

PhD candidate in Ecology at the University of Innsbruck, he studies alpine biodiversity with a particular focus on Orthoptera and Lepidoptera and their relationships with plants and habitats. He is also involved in bioacoustics, Orthoptera conservation, and scientific outreach. He has extensive experience working on grassland and xerothermic ecosystems, especially on the ecology of Saga pedo. He is a member of Gruppo di Ricerca sugli Insetti Ortotteroidei (GRIO).

A naturalist and lecturer in Zoology and in Biodiversity and Conservation at the University of Milano‑Bicocca. His main research focuses on the effects of human‑driven impacts on animal biodiversity, with particular attention to climate change, invasive species, and habitat loss and fragmentation.

Graduated in Natural Sciences with a PhD in Crop Protection from the University of Padua, he is an entomologist at the Fondazione Museo Civico di Rovereto. Member of the IUCN Grasshopper Specialist Group, curated the Italian species for the European Red List of Grasshoppers, Crickets and Bush-Crickets. His research focuses on the bioacoustics, systematics, and conservation of Orthoptera and Gerromorpha Heteroptera. He is the author or co-author of over 100 scientific papers and several books.

Graduated in Natural Sciences, he has always been interested in the world of entomology. His first approach to insects (and other arthropods) was through photography, which later developed during his studies, where he explored the role of various groups in urban and agricultural environments. His main field of interest is Orthoptera, whose ecology and bioacoustics he investigates.

Entomologist, he studies the Coleoptera Curculionoidea and in particular the tribe Peritelini. He has published about fifty scientific works. He coordinates the research group on the Curculionidofauna of the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago, the Monte Grappa Biosphere Reserve and the Lessinia Park. Administrator of the group Curcubiodiversity, he encourages the exchange of experiences.

Pharmacist and holistic operator trainer, she works in the field of natural medicine and apitherapy. She was co‑founder of the Italian Apitherapy Association, where she first encountered apitherapy as an integrative medical practice. Within WBA, she later created the Api&Benessere (Bees & Well‑being) group, with the aim of promoting knowledge about the bioactive properties of hive products and fostering apitherapy as a source of well‑being.

Founding member of WBA. Freelance forest doctor, as well as lichenologist, author of numerous environmental monitoring studies through the use of lichens as bioindicators of phytotoxic gases and bioaccumulators of trace metals. Member of the Academy of Agriculture Sciences and Letters of Verona.

Ethologist and marine biologist specializing in social evolution, cooperation and group dynamics in fish. She is the founder and coordinator of ZARATAN – Marine Research & Higher Education Center, Academic Affiliate in Biology and Teaching Assistant Professor at Pennsylvania State University, and Adjunct Faculty at Kent State University Florence. She is also a naturalistic‑scientific illustrator who combines science and visual communication, and is actively engaged in teaching and mentoring.

Graduated in Ecology and PhD in Behavioral Biology. She has conducted research in ethology and wildlife conservation. She focuses on animal ethics and anthrozoology, with particular interest in human perception of other animals. She collaborates with WBA in scientific research and outreach activities.

Naturalist, entomologist and researcher at the Edmund Mach Foundation. Author of over 240 scientific publications on insect faunistics, ecology and bioacoustics, in recent years he has focused his work on beekeeping, the natural management of the honey bee, and the use of bees as indicators of environmental quality.

Doctor of Biological Sciences and former Director of the Plant Health Service of Piedmont. He has been collaborating with WBA since 2006, publishing taxonomic works as a WBA affiliate. He serves as Coordinator of the Scientific Committee and Editor-in-Chief of the various series published by WBA.

Doctor in Evolutionary Biology with a PhD in Crop Science (Entomology), and researcher at the Department of Sciences of Roma Tre University. He collaborates on numerous research projects aimed at qualifying and characterizing biodiversity at a global scale through integrated approaches and modelling analyses.
