The WBA Scientific Committee is a statutory expert body constituted by experts nominated by the WBA Directing Council. The WBA Directing Council is elected by the WBA Assembly every three years; it is composed by three to nine councillors. For the triennium 2020-2022 the following members have been elected councillors:

Director of WBA Project Srl. He is interested in mammalogy and agricultural sciences. He has actively contributed to the revisions of the Biodiversity Friend and Biodiversity Friend Beekeeping specifications, trainer of auditors for the aforementioned schemes. He actively participated in the three WBA research and representation campaigns in Cuba.

Entomologist, naturalist, botanophile for over 25 years. Specialized in Coleoptera Curculionoidea. Numerous collaborations with the Tuscan Archipelago National Park, University of Florence – Faculty of Biology and Museo della Specola.
WBA Onlus Coordinator – Tuscan Archipelago Section. Curator/Head of NatLab – The Naturalistic Museum of the Tuscan Archipelago.
Pharmacist, holistic operator trainer. He deals with natural medicines and apitherapy. She was co-founder of the Italian Apitherapy Association where she was able to learn more about apitherapy as integrative medicine. In WBA she created the Api & Benessere group with the aim of disseminating knowledge relating to the bioactive properties of beehive products and to promote apitherapy.
