17 Oct Valentina Filippini recently completed his PhD
Our member Valentina Filippini recently completed his PhD on the taxonomy of Anomalini beetles in Costa Rica. This led her to describe more than 50 new species in 7 articles published in international journals. She has also recently published the cehcklist of Anomalini species of Costa Rica, which includes a dichotomous key for identification of all species in the country (120 species). “The Anomalini are a very diverse and abundant group, but little studied because of the difficulty to identify the species. This series of works is a starting point for the biodiversity of the group to be studied in other neotropical countries “says Valentina.
