Christy Hemenway in Italy to present her book “L’apicoltore consapevole”!

In the next days WBA will host Christy Hemenway, the US author of the volume The Thinking Beekeeper published in Canada during 2013 and traslated in Italian by WBA Project with the title “L’apicoltore consapevole”. The volume offers a valuable contribute to the diffusion of a “natural beekeeping”, a bee-friendly method based on top bar hives.

The stay in Italy of Christy will be rich of events: November 13th she will take part to an important Conference to the Edmund Mach Foundation in San Michele all’Adige (TN) with the title: “To restart from the bees: strategies of environmental collaboration”.

Saturday November 14th at 10.00 at the Museo Naturalistico Archeologico of Vicenza there will be the  event “Bees for biodiversity: the familiar beekeeping as a concrete action for biodiversity conservation” with the participation of the President of WBA Paolo Fontana, the Director of the Museum Antonio Dal Lago, Gennaro Di Prisco of the University of Naples, Marco Venturini of Bioapi and Nicola Venturini of Aboca. During the event Christy Hemenway will present the Italian edition of her volume “L’apicoltore consapevole” (tranlation by Sara Marcolini).

Monday 16th November at 19.00 at the Centro di Formazione Professionale Istituto Casa Nazareth (Via Claudia Augusta 44 Corrubbio di Negarine – Verona) it will hold a meeting  organized by the Association Apiario Sociale of Verona with the title: “Let’s know the Top Bar hive with Christy Hemenway”.

The days 18th and 19th November Christy will go to Rome with our President Paolo Fontana for an interview to the TV program Geo&Geo about the useful insects in agriculture.
